Building a Stunning Gym Website with Vue.js and Buefy

When it comes to building a website for your business, there are numerous factors to consider. Setting Up Vue.js

Getting started with Vue.js is a breeze. Using npm, install the Vue CLI and create a new project. Select the default preset, which includes Babel, ESLint, and other essential dependencies. Once set up, navigate to your project directory and serve the project on your localhost.

Buefy: A Lightweight UI Component Library

Project Folder Structure

The Vue.js folder structure is easy to understand. For this tutorial, we’ll focus on the src folder, which contains the assets folder for storing images, videos, and audio files, as well as the components folder for our project’s components.

Building Our Site with Buefy

Index.html

The index.html file is the entry point for our HTML, providing an element for Vue.js to load into. We’ll modify it to include the title “Web Service” and add a script tag to use Font Awesome for icons.

Styles.css

We’ve created custom styles for our project, which you can copy and paste into your styles.css file in the public folder.

Main.js

The main.js file initializes the root component into an element on our page and sets up plugins and third-party components. We’ll import and specify Buefy to use its UI components.

We’ll create several components, including:

Navigation Bar Component

Create a navbar folder inside the components folder and add the navigation bar code. We’ll use Buefy’s b-navbar and b-navbar-item components to create a navigation bar with Home, About, Services, and Contact items.

Testimonials Section

Create a testimonials folder inside the components folder and add the testimonials code. We’ll use Buefy’s b-icon component to display icons and cards to display testimonials.

Features Section

Create a features folder inside the components folder and add the features code. We’ll display our core services using Buefy’s UI components.

Newsletter Section

Create a newsletter folder inside the components folder and add the newsletter code. We’ll use Buefy’s b-input component to get input from visitors and bind it to a value of type email.

Footer

Create a footer folder inside the components folder and add the footer code. We’ll display external links and information, and define a year prop to easily change the copyright year.

App.vue

The App.vue file is the root of our application, defining the template for our page(s). We’ll import all our components and render them accordingly in our templates.

Running and Deploying Our Website
